FOUNDER

Tom Claugus is Founder and Chairman of The Foundation For A Better World. He is also Founder and Principal of GMT Capital Corp., a private investment management firm. Prior to founding GMT, he held senior leadership roles at Rohm and Haas Company across the U.S., Europe, and Mexico. Tom holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He founded FFBW in 2013 to advance neurodegenerative disease research and support high-impact philanthropic initiatives globally.

PRESIDENT

Adam Hoffman is President of The Foundation For A Better World, where he leads the foundation’s strategy and investment activity across neurodegenerative disease drug development and cost-effective poverty alleviation initiatives. Since joining in 2018, he has helped build FFBW into a significant funder of Alzheimer's focused therapeutics as well as scalable, evidence-based social programs. He is also a Healthcare Analyst at GMT Capital and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

David Consoli is a Senior Associate at The Foundation For A Better World, where he supports the foundation’s scientific and investment diligence across neurodegenerative disease therapeutics. Before joining FFBW, he led neuroscience-focused research and consulting initiatives at Deloitte and earned his PhD in cellular and molecular neuroscience from Vanderbilt University.

PROGRAM OFFICER

Isa is a Program Officer at the Foundation for a Better World, where she has worked since 2020 supporting the foundation’s global philanthropy initiatives across education, health, and community development. She is passionate about expanding access to education and advancing cost-effective programs that create meaningful, measurable impact for underserved communities.
